About Bedford

When you come to the Hampton Inn hotel in Bedford/Burlington, make sure to soak up some of our phenomenal history. Start at the Bedford library, and check out the oldest United States flag flown during the Revolutionary War. See where the war began, just seven miles from our hotel in Bedford/Burlington, at the Minute Man National Historical Park. Feel like getting outside? Drop by Depot Park, next to the 1870s Railroad Station and Freight House. You’ll find cycling, hiking, and picnicking spots. For shopping, head to the Burlington Mall, a mammoth spot with 155 upscale specialty stores. Best of all, when you’re ready for the sights and sounds of the big city, Boston is just 20 miles away.

Also nearby is a real treasure of American history: the National Monument to the Forefathers, which benefited from restoration efforts as part of the HamptonĀ® Hotels’ Save-A-LandmarkĀ® Program. First dedicated in 1889 as a project of the Pilgrim Society, the 81-foot-tall monument has stood in its present location for more than 100 years and is on the National Register of Historic Places. HamptonĀ® Hotels donated a massive volunteer effort to help preserve the monument-one of the nation’s largest solid granite statues-by refurbishing the site’s 107-foot walkway.
